James 5:7-8
7 Dear brothers and sisters,[a] be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. 8 You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.
Patience is tough in our fast-paced world, right? But the scripture tells us to be patient, like a farmer waiting for his crops to grow. This kind of waiting isn’t just sitting around; it takes active faith. We’re encouraged to hang in there, even when things get rough. Embracing this waiting period helps us find strength in the promise of what’s coming, just like a farmer trusts the seasons. Every moment of waiting shows our faith and resilience.
When times are hard, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and forget the hope ahead. Today, remember to slow down and think about God’s timing. He’s always working behind the scenes, creating a story more beautiful than we can imagine. By trusting Him, we can find peace in our struggles, knowing that patience isn’t just a skill but a reflection of our hope in Him.
