James 4:7-10
7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
The importance of humility in our walk with God cannot be overstated. True humility allows us to see ourselves accurately, recognizing our shortcomings and the grace that God extends to us. In conflicts, it is our pride that often stands in the way of resolution. When we humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive His grace and to extend that grace to others.
As you reflect on conflicts in your life, ask God to help you adopt an attitude of humility. Rather than clinging to the desire to be right, embrace the opportunity to serve and forgive. By placing Christ at the center of your interactions, you reflect His love and grace to a world in need of reconciliation.
